The most affordable natural timber product is treated pine. They are commonly stained to achieve various shades. If un-stained, they eventually turn to a natural bark colour which blends into the natural environment. We would especially recommend treated pine decking for kids play areas.

Materials
Hardwood Decking
Hardwoods are a premium timber with natural durability and beautiful natural wood grain. Species such as Jarrah, Spotted Gum and Blackbutt possess distinct grain patterns and textures, ensuring a visually appealing and individualised look for your deck.
At the higher end of affordability is Merbau, which is a beautiful hardwood option readily available in the market. It has high durability and strength and is a course-textured timber with a reddish-brown colour. They come in two width options 90mm and 140mm depending on your preference.
Composite Decking
Ekodeck – Perhaps the most common composite choice, Ekodeck composite decking is an affordable and practical option worth considering. Readily available on display at Bunnings stores, they come in the Classic range with a matt finish that can be sanded to remove imperfections, or the Designer Range for a more upmarket look and an extended warranty.
Other composite decking options worth considering include Modwood, Trex, NewTechWood and PermaTimber.
Millboard – produced in the UK, Millboard is a superior decking option for our customer who are after an alternative to the conventional composite decking options. It looks as beautiful and warm as natural timber, but with no wood content – so will stand the test of time. It comes in various natural colours and pattern combinations to suit your design preferences.
